Meet Mariah Bettise BMC President and Founder

Mariah Bettise is President and Founder of Bettise Management Consulting (BMC) a full-service consulting organization started in 2000. Mariah, along with BMC’s experienced consulting team, has developed a successful track record collaboratively managing complex programs and projects including start-ups, acquisitions and divestitures, in matrix-oriented environments, across the private, public and non-profit sectors.
Mariah is an executive with extensive strategic planning, business transformation, organizational change, DEI-focused culture development experience and a wide-ranging background in organizational development / design, business operations, human resources, social impact, corporate social responsibility, ESG, public policy, and government relations.
Mariah has been instrumental in several organization start-ups, acquisitions, divestitures, and business transformation working with companies small and large, including Microsoft, Bungie, ProbablyMonsters and Ico Global Communications.
Mariah also has comprehensive experience in the public sector, formerly serving as an elected member of Issaquah City Council in a leadership role as Deputy Council President, Chair of the Issaquah Human Services Commission and as a Commissioner for Economic Vitality. She currently serves on the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank's Board of Directors and as an Advisory Board Member for the University of Washington's Human Resources Management Program. She has also served in multiple Board of Director and advisor positions in the areas of Economic Development, Education, Government / Public Policy, Sustainability / Conserviation and Human Services.
Mariah’s role as Chief Operating Officer / VP Philanthropic Giving at AAA gaming company, high growth start-up ProbablyMonsters, focused on culture development and building the organization’s operations departments and teams including Finance, Human Resources, Outsourced Legal, Facilities and Philanthropic Giving. Post start-up, after two years of structuring the operational infrastructure and recruiting a talented operation’s team, Mariah was able turn her attention to philanthropy, incorporating her long-standing efforts to give back to her community. As Chief Giving Officer Mariah built and led a new and impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (Giving) Program focused on education and community outreach for underserved youth and young adults. This role combined her passion for further developing the organization’s culture by uniting teams around community giving and building equity-focused programs and partnerships. Mariah also strategically planned for and developed the structure for future philanthropic initiatives. Mariah’s experience working regionally with cities, schools, non-profits, and Boards in the areas of human services, community outreach, and economic vitality guided critical partnership and program development.
Mariah’s passion for giving back to her community is also engrained in BMC’s culture. BMC is a small, woman-owned business that places great value on giving back, mentorship and helping others succeed.

Prior to leading BMC, Mariah was leading and managing Human Resource departments for companies in the Media / Entertainment, Engineering, Aerospace and Construction industries.
Outside of work, Mariah enjoys community engagement, volunteering, photography, golfing, hiking with her golden retriever and traveling with her family and friends.
